How to Declare
Please submit the major declaration form below once all required courses have been completed and final grades have been posted to DARS. Your UCLA logon is required.
Please allow 3-5 business days for processing.
Important Information
- Please do not submit the major declaration form if you are currently declared in Physiological Science. Students who were admitted to UCLA as Physiological Science majors or who switched to the major during New Student Orientation do not need to take additional steps to declare the major.
- Physiological Science does not have a pre-major designation.
- In-progress coursework will not be considered. All required course grades must be posted to DARS before submitting the major declaration form.
- Students whose current major is outside the College of Letters and Science must first switch into the College before submitting a major declaration request. Please click here for information on the process.
- Please do not submit the major declaration form to add Physiological Science as a second major.
- Students whose primary major is in the College of Letters and Science should follow the College’s double major petition process.
- Students whose primary major is not in the College of Letters and Science should consult their School advising unit (Engineering, Public Affairs, Arts & Architecture, etc.) for their double major petition process.
- Transfer students must complete at least one quarter at UCLA and be in good academic standing before requesting to switch into the major.
- Transfer students will not be able to change from a non-life science major to Physiological Science or double major after admission to UCLA.
