Each year the Undergraduate Affairs Committee selects one Physiological Science student as the Outstanding Senior of the Year. The student will be recognized at the departmental commencement ceremony, in addition to receiving a stipend (when available).
Eligibility
- Physiological Science seniors with a degree expected term of Fall 2025, Winter 2026, Spring 2026, or Summer 2026.
- Conducted research at UCLA (SRP 99, 199 or 198A/B are appropriate)
- Achievements in academics, campus, and/or community service, and leadership
- Support from your research faculty mentor

- Unofficial transcript
- Letter of recommendation from faculty mentor
- Your mentor may provide you with their letter or email it to me directly at navila@ibp.ucla.edu
Awardee Responsibility
The awardee will be asked to prepare a speech (up to five minutes) at the departmental commencement. Additional guidance will be provided to the awardee.
