Professor Stephanie Correa receives 2020 Undergraduate Research Week Faculty Mentor Award

Congratulations Professor Stephanie Correa on receiving the 2020 Undergraduate Research Week Faculty Mentor Award!

This award was created by the Undergraduate Research Centers to showcase the excellent faculty that mentor UCLA’s undergraduates in research and creative activies. Dr. Correa van Veen’s mentorship of two students culminated in the students’ oral presentations during the 2020 Undergraduate Research Showcase. She had five students who received scholarships through the Undergraduate Research Centers. In addition, Dr. Correa van Veen has taught 14 SRP99 Undergraduate Research Courses over the last 5 years, demonstrating her willingness to mentor new students in research.

The thirteen 2020 Undergraduate Research Week Faculty Mentor award winners were selected by a committee of
faculty and staff who serve on the UCLA Research Week Committee. More information about the award and the

Each year, during the Undergraduate Poster Week, the IBP Department holds a poster event for students in the Physiological Science Majors. Physiological Science students are involved in research labs across campus. This year, we had our first virtual event, and we have selected our top three posters. Here are the students selected to receive awards:
